There is so much written and said about all paths lead to Heaven and that all you need to do is love one another. I learned the hard way that without the grace and power of God through the Holy Spirit can the process happen of being changed into what God intends for us to be and do. I remember for many years I accepted the Savior but really had not accepted the Lord in my life. One day around 18 years ago I told God that I was totally turning my life over to Him. When I said that the Lord took over my life. I went through some hard early refining. Of course I know we will not be all that God intends us to be till we get to Heaven, but I am thankful he is taking us there. I remember telling God during that part of His refining that I was not that bad of a person. For about a year, He showed me just how bad I was. People who that think that they can get to Heaven by their goodness do not know their need for the grace and power of God. I think often about a time in the army. We were practicing maneuvers. I had surprised an acting enemy machine gun crew. One of the cadre saw what had happened and he grabbed one of the machine gun crew, shook him in front of me and said, “Don’t you see him, don’t you see him?” I just want so bad for people to see Him. There is a process I think of walking with the Lord. One must first grasp that God is God and the walk then becomes a walk of allowing God to work his loving will in your life. It is not something you can conjure up. There are three Scriptures that bring peace to my soul. The first read in order has to do with fear. They are Isaiah 33:5-6, 1 John 4:13-18. The last one is in regard to faith. 1 Peter 1: 3-9. Just a note in regard to faith. I remember once telling God that I do not know if I have enough faith for this. I remember where I was standing when He gave me more. We serve an awesome loving God. If you do not know Him all you need to do is repent of your sins and accept the wonderful gift of His Son. Only God can save but we can share the Good News. Those who accept that gift know how wonderful it is. No one can grasp it till they accept it.

I have written a Christian book that has been published.  It was over 10 years in the writing. The title is "Walk in the Spirit: With a Cloud of Witnesses". It was something I was led to do. I pray it is as much a blessing to those who read it as it was for me to write it.
